Running

Please enjoy this painting “Running” in several ways. It represents something of older days, a look at a nostalgic setting of an old homestead bedroom with distorted old window glass and with the old-fashioned mirror on the wall, a trumeau.  Nostology is further represented in the sepia colors I used. I was visiting a museum when this view caught my eye from the velvet roped off entrance door.  I love to express light and, in this case, see how the light filters through the blouse draped on top of the chair.  And another way to look at this is to guess the mystery involving the Red Cloaked woman running outside the window. Notice the reflection in the mirror section that shows a door and another window with filtered light.  What does this mean to you? You get to put your own emotion and meaning to this female running outside. Is she running to something? or running away from something?
